Hi Yogis! Today’s post is from Debi Schenk!
Wish — “feel or express a strong desire or hope for something that is not easily attainable; want something that cannot or probably will not happen.”
I recently had a birthday and really put some thought into what exactly I should wish for. But when I read the actual definition of “wish,” it made me sad because, let’s face it, we all like to believe that our wishes will come true! I have been wishing on every birthday candle that I can remember! Knowing that it “probably will not happen” makes wishing seem, well, not worth the effort. But haven’t my deepest wishes really all come true? I have the most wonderful children a mom could have, a warm home, a great dog, a fulfilling job, and the best friends a girl could ask for.
So I decided to come up with a wish that is from the inside out, instead of the outside in. I hope you enjoy what I came up with.
If I could make one wish it would be for an open heart, a fresh face, a lightness in my step.
If I could make one wish it would be to make every day to sparkle with sweet moments of joy, laughter, and love.
If I could make one wish it would be for my voice to sing my favorite songs, inspiring my very soul.
If I could make one wish, my dear self, it would be for true reflection, pure happiness, and warm enlightenment.
